
Changing Presidential Primary Vote Could Give WA More Influence
Secretary of State Kim Wyman wants to change the date for Washington's presidential primary vote.
Why? A couple years back when one of the candidates dropped out of the race her office couldn't do anything about it because of how the rules were set up and Washington's votes were wasted. With a couple of fixes everything could run smoother.
Ideally, candidates would do more to court Washington votes, and casting votes earlier could be more influential in who ends up the final party nominee. For more read here.
