Cheers to Washington Beers – Here’s a Toast to National Beer Day

It's five o'clock somewhere.

As long as the imbibing is responsible, please enjoy one or more of your favorite beers today, hopefully one made right here in Washington, as every April 7th we celebrate National Beer Day.

A Townie Award winner, Ice Harbor Brewing Company in Kennewick will take great care of you with a pair of their outstanding locations.

Both Ice Harbor Brewing Company joints are in really cool digs, man. You’ve got one on a literal island, Clover Island, and you could miss the other if you don’t know what you’re looking for. Nestled near the train tracks that run parallel to historic downtown Kennewick is the original Ice Harbor Brewery. If you want local brew and unique aesthetic, the warehouse on the tracks makes for a one-of-a-kind date or group meet. Ice Harbor Brewery and Ice Harbor Marina.

Today, be grateful you don't live in Tennessee as that state has the highest tax on beer of any state in America at $1.29 per gallon. Wyoming has the lowest at two-cents per gallon.  Oregon is a paltry 08-cents, Idaho's tax is 15-cents and Washington is just above a quarter at 26-cents per gallon. USA Today did a piece about the favorite beers at baseball parks across America, and at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners, the top choice is Citrus Mistress IPA from Hop Valley Brewing Company, which is an Oregon outfit, actually.
