Of all the lottery games I've played, and I've played most, but not all of them, the only true "score" I ever bagged was more than 15 years ago, back in 2005. It was early December and the Washington Lottery's Quinto game was still in play.

Quinto was the game where each of the possible 52 "numbers" were actually characters representing a deck of cards. Of the five cards I was dealt that day, three hands for a three dollar play, four of cards landed on one line. The only card I didn't have? Of course, the Ace of Spades. Jeepers, Lemmy, you and Motorhead, come on, you gotta be kidding me.

Matching four of the five was good for $1000. I had matched three cards in another line play on the ticket for an extra $20, so the total score was $1020. I bought a new Vizio flat screen TV. I still use it too, as a computer monitor. Vizios haven't aged well, I'm coming to understand.

I haven't even had a sniff of sweet scratch success since.

Which brings me to once again to have to live vicariously through a very lucky Couer d'Alene, Idaho lady, and no I'm not bitter, I'm thrilled this gal rocked the system by bagging six-figure wins on CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS.

Orlene Peterson, of Coeur d'Alene, recently won two, six-figure lottery jackpots on consecutive days. She won $200,000 on a scratch-off lottery ticket before winning $300,000 the next day on another ticket. Her odds of wining on consecutive days were 1 in 282.5 million. Orlene plans to pay off her bills, but a new truck and go to Las Vegas on vacation.

Can I come?
