COVID Claims Hermiston Raceway Labor Day Spectacular

With Umatilla County's application for moving to Phase 2 being rejected (they were just brought back to Phase One August 21st) being rejected, that has also cancelled the Labor Day Spectacular scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Hermiston Raceway.

Officials had hoped to stage the huge weekend featuring a variety of cars, including a huge Late Model Race (the cars that look just like the Monster Energy cars on TV) but it's not going to happen. The 3/8 mile track is located on the west side of the Hermiston Hill just before you arrive into town.
