Driver Charged With DUI in Yakima Collision

A driver has been charged with DUI, after running a red light in Yakima on Monday morning.

The Yakima Police department responded to an early morning crash at the intersection of South 4th Avenue and West Nob Hill Boulevard.

A witness reported that a vehicle failed to stop at the red light at the intersection and collided with another vehicle.

After investigation, the red-light runner was arrested for DUI. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries in the collision.

Police recommend that if you see a driver suspected of being under the influence to call 911 to report it. If you can, get a description of the vehicle and license plate number. Stay a safe distance away.
