Ed’s home was completely destroyed by fire on Thursday afternoon. The cause is unknown at the time, but everything is gone, including one of their beloved pets.

-From Ed’s social account:

“For those that don't know, our home burned up in a fire this afternoon. Most everything is gone. We barely got out of the house, Dolly our poodle got out with us, but we lost Beebs, and my heart hurts so bad for him... I just can't...so much to process right now…”

Unfortunately, the fire is only part of Ed’s battle. Ed was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer over a year ago and his family recently announced they were moving forward with hospice care to make Ed as comfortable as possible.

How can you help support Ed and his family?

For starters, there is a fundraiser planned for TONIGHT (April 8) at the Three Rivers Folklife Society Coffeehouse at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 1322 Kimball Avenue, Richland. The Coffeehouse begins at 7 pm with an Open Mic opportunity for local musicians followed by a performance by Curtis & Loretta. They are a Minneapolis, Minnesota folk duo currently touring the West Coast.
