Ephrata Home Drug Bust Leads to Arrests of Two Repeat Criminals
It's almost like a made-for-TV movie, as two men were arrested in Grant County for drugs and for sex offenses. The Ephrata area home was known for drugs.
According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office Facebook page:
Detectives on Wednesday served the search warrant on the trailer at 16860 Frey Road Northwest and seized 41.7 grams of what appeared to be methamphetamine, 29.2 grams of what appeared to be heroin, one Fentanyl tablet, digital scales, packaging materials, used drug paraphernalia, and several used syringes.
Eric Carlin Craig, 49, was lodged in the Grant County Jail on suspicion of possession of meth with intent to distribute, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, and unlawful use of a building for drug purposes.
This was the second time in just over three months that the Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team searched out the trailer and arrested the occupant for drug charges.
47-year-old Sean C. Mutzer of Ephrata was also arrested for two outstanding felony warrants for failing to register as a sex offender.
Craig was arrested during a drug bust at the same home back on May 25. He was being held in the Grant County Jail until July 16 when he posted a $15,000 bail bond and was released. INET began investigating Craig after his release when they learned he had continued his drug operation.
The team also collected packaging materials, used syringes, scales, and more during the bust.
