Fire Season In The Tri-Cities Isn’t Quite Done…Yet
As we head into Fall and cooler weather, you'd think that the Fire Season would be behind us for 2018 but the Benton County Fire Districts are reminding us that fire season isn't quite done with us yet.
According to the Benton County Fire District #1, there is still danger over the next week. Here is there fire danger forecast for next week -
Fire Danger Forecast for September 12 to September 18 is VERY HIGH - Fires start easily from all causes and may spread faster than suppression resources can travel. Flame lengths will be long with high intensity, making control very difficult. NO residential burning allowed, except recreational and warming fires. Approved agriculture burning is allowed.
It's a good reminder that with the cooler weather, fire season isn't over yet.
