Fog & Distracted Driving Cause Big Accident in West Richland

West Richland Police are warning drivers this morning of a major traffic accident which has resulted in a temporary road closure, Harrington Road at Twin Bridges. There is a two-vehicle collision just east of Twin Bridges Road on Harrington Road.

The accident occurred this morning when a 17-year-old driver dropped his cell and tried to retrieve it while driving ended up drifting into the opposite lane and colliding with a work van. Both drivers sustained minor injuries but did not go to the hospital.

The crash happened near the intersection of North Harrington Road and Twin Bridges Road just before 7 a.m. which caused a temporary closure of the intersection.
