Hanford Fire Grows to 15,000 Acres Burned, Only 40% Contained
A fast moving fire which started last night on the Hanford Reservation has grown to 15,000 acres burned over night.
The fire's official name is the 'Cold Creek' fire and started early yesterday afternoon it jumped the highway at state route 24 causing officials to close highway 240 which is now open. Fire officials brought out all the tools available to them such as bulldozers, aircraft, and fire engines not to mention over 100 firefighters currently on the scene. The fire is only 30-40 % contained.
