Hanford Worker Dies 11 Days After Crash With Teen

A Hanford Worker that was just months away from retirement has passed away after a tragic accident that also took the life of a young teen from Mattawa.

The accident happened on State Route 24 near the Vernita Bridge on August 1st.

Felix Diaz, 18, tried to pass two Semi-Trucks, and instead collided with a PT cruiser driven by Kenneth Crawford, 65, of Mesa Washington.

Crawford and his wife Karen were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after the accident that claimed the life of Gisella Morales,15.
