Sounds pretty ominous, doesn't it? I first heard about the free seed packets on Facebook from friends in Montana. Then Idaho. Now Washington is receiving them as is about half the states in the country. Oh you haven heard about the free-seed-thingy? Apparently, people are getting free seeds in the mail. These seeds are reportedly coming from China. Isn't this just a free seed sample to see if you'd like to order more? Probably. But agricultural agencies in various states are saying you need to destroy the seeds. Why? Because they could be invasive, carry eggs from foreign insects that could damage crops, and the plants could harm livestock. At least, that's what they're saying. Better safe than sorry, I guess. Too hot to plant seeds right now anyway.
