It’s Finally Here! The Home Opener for the Seattle Mariners

We've been waiting for it to get here for MONTHS and now it's finally here.  The Mariners take on the Red Sox at T-Mobile Park in Seattle this afternoon. First pitch is at 4:08 p.m.

This will be the first game played at what is now T-Mobile Park in Seattle -- formerly known as Safeco Field. If you missed the news & announcements, Safeco Insurance's naming rights for the stadium expired. T-Mobile ponied up the money, to the tune of $85.7 million, for the naming rights that will last 25 years. It had been called Safeco Field since the stadium opening in 1999.
