Richland Police arrested a juvenile for assault with a handgun.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at Walmart on Duportail Street. According to Richland Police, at about 4:22 pm, officers were called out to the store for an assault with a handgun. It was reported that a male pointed a gun at a person in the parking lot.

Before Officers Arrived, the Suspect Fled on Foot Toward Home Depot.

That's where Police caught up with the suspect and took him into custody. West Richland Police Officers assisted in the incident.

The juvenile suspect was arrested for two counts of Assault 2nd Degree for pointing the handgun at two different people.

The incident remains under investigation. Police are asking anyone with information, or who witnessed what occurred in the Walmart parking lot to contact them at 509-628-0333.
