Driving in Washington State's Winter Freezing Fog
The sides of Washington highways the last week or two have been littered with drivers either not respecting or maybe not aware of the dangers from freezing fog. Large portions of Washington State in November start experiencing dense fog and cold overnight temperatures that cause that fog to freeze on surrounding roads and highways. The freezing fog can create conditions even more slick than a regular snow storm and the worst part is the ice is hard to see unless you know what to look for. Usually, the roadway will look slightly wet however the temp will be much too cold for it to be liquid water. Slowing down is obviously good advice, but are there any other things you should also be aware of?
