Benton Franklin Fair: Tough Enough to Fight Cancer
If you have visited the Benton Franklin Fair, you are most likely already familiar with the 'Tough Enough to Wear Pink' campaign. This year, the Benton Franklin Fair is donating $12,550.00 to cancer prevention efforts, according to a recent press release by the fair board. The donation will be presented this Friday, October 28, 2023, at Grace Clinic, located at 800 West Canal Drive in Kennewick. Over the last 15 years, the Benton Franklin Fair and their Tough Enough to Wear Pink campaigns have raised over $212,000.00 for the fight against cancer.
The Donation Money Shared by Multiple Local Agencies
The money will be split between multiple local agencies, including the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation, the Prosser Memorial Hospital Foundation, and Grace Clinic. The Fair Board President Duane Howard said in the press release "We have made Tough Enough to Wear Pink a core initiative for the Fair, resulting in a healthier population and a heightened awareness about breast cancer prevention." Some the the local sponsors that help the cause all year long are: Wrangler, Trios Health, Lourdes Health, the Tri-Cities Cancer Center Foundation, Prosser Memorial Hospital, Rabo AgriFinance, and Washington Trust Bank.
