Jack Didley’s Bouncer Pleads "Not Guilty" to Charges
A 41 year old security bouncer at Jack Didley’s Comedy – Nightclub in Downtown Kennewick will go to trial October 15th.
41 year old Matthew Hibbard is facing assault charges after prosecutors claim he and another bouncer dropped 31 year old Ben Ensign on the sidewalk outside the the club the evening of July 4th. Ensign reportedly tried to re-enter the club after being removed by security. Ensign suffered, according to reports, a significant trauma injury when his head hit the sidewalk. Ensign remains in serious condition in Kadlec Regonal Medical Center.
No specific details have been made public about the extent of Ensign’s injuries, except that he was previously in a medically-induced coma to facilitate healing, and was rated from critical to serious condition.
The club has faced two other incidents involving altercations between patrons and security staff. According to reports, one of the previous customers has an attorney preparing a civil suit against the club. Newstalk will continue to update information when it becomes available.
