For two decades, the biggest award in the world of movie trailers has been the Golden Trailer Awards. At their annual awards, they gave their top prize, the “Best In Show,” to John Wick: Chapter 3. Mr. Wick actually took home multiple awards, including the Best Action trailer and the Best Summer 2019 Blockbuster awards as well.

When ScreenCrush (i.e. me) picked the best trailers of 2018, our honorees included several eventual Golden Trailer winners. We had A Star Is Born as the #1 trailer of the year; it won the Golden Trailer for Best Drama. We had Avengers: Endgame at #3; it won Best Fantasy Adventure. Other winners include Us (for Best Horror and Best Music), Roma, and Serenity, which won the “Golden Fleece” prize given each year to the best trailer for the worst movie. (Having just watched Serenity last weekend, I can confirm it was a worthy recipient.)

Here’s the big winners — and the trailers themselves, so you can watch and decide whether you think they rate among the best of the best as well.
