Jump Into Pasco’s 2021 Grand Old 4th of July Events Early

The City of Pasco is making up for having no Independence Day 2020 activities in a big way, as 2021 is full of fun and frivolity for the entire family. The little ones get their due first with a 'hands on' American Experience:

The Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Handprint T-shirt class is for ages 2-5 and will happen on June 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the rec classroom at Pasco City Hall.

Parents, come make a patriotic 4th of July themed t-shirt with your child using their handprint. They provide class instruction, supplies, indoor location and best of all.... the clean up!

A 2T/3T or 4T/5T t-shirt is provided with your $13 registration (non-residents $16, sign up by 7:00 a.m. on June 18th). Parent participation required.

Next, light up your home or neighborhood with Grand Old Fourth Kit Luminary Bags. These are decorated bags with battery operated candles and instructions, $4 for a pack of five or $6 for a pack of ten.

Display the festive all-American lights in front of your house on July 3rd & 4th, 2021. The bags will have a GO4 design printed on one side and a blank canvas on the opposite side. Ideas for decorating the blank side will be provided, if you choose.

Purchase for yourself or for your block, or share the information with your neighbors so they can pitch in to light up your entire neighborhood.

Packet pick up begins June 21, 2021, M-F, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at Pasco City Hall, 525 N. 3rd on the Nixon side. More to come as the holiday gets closer including the specifics of the actual weekend, beginning with the Family Bike Ride.

The Family Bike Ride will be Saturday July 3rd costing just five dollars and the fee is the same whether you're a Franklin County resident or not.
