Kennewick Novel Food Park Planned For Fall Opening, Restaurants Wanted
A unique food park is planned to open in Tri-Cities this Fall.
1Derful Food Park is a 7-restaurant/kitchen development to be built between Sportsman's Warehouse and McDonald's by the Colonade Shopping Center. The food park mall will be located near the intersection of Canal Drive and Kellogg Street in Kennewick.
What's the story?
Richland resident Joo Seok Baek is building the food park mall. He plans to operate 1Derful Korean BBQ out of one of the kitchens. He'll serve Korean BBQ fried chicken and meat-rice bowls, with a variety of sides.
There's availability for 6 more restaurants or dining options.
Baek is hoping to create a unique, one-of-a-kind dining experience for the area. The available spaces are perfect for restaurants, wine bars, tasting rooms, soft-serve ice cream or yogurt shops, and bakeries or pastry shops.
The 1Derful Food Park is scheduled to open this fall.
There's also a food truck hub planned to open soon in Kennewick.
The food truck hub is located on the other side of Chuck E. Cheese. Summer's Hub Food Truck Pavilion is expected to open this June. Owner Chris Corbin has been working on the food truck hub for several years.
Summer's Hub is named after his daughter, with space for up to 28 different food truck vendors. There's a 7,000-square-foot building in the middle of the hub to house Corbin's restaurant, Brady's Brats and Burgers, which is named after his son. If you or someone you know would be interested in a spot at Summer's Hub, contact Chris Corbin at thehubkennewick@gmail.com.
