An early-morning fire in a Kennewick home leaves a family without a home but alive and well otherwise. Fire crews were called to 204 East 2nd Avenue just after 4:30 am Wednesday morning and found a carport and part of a home on fire according to news reports. All the people living in the house got out safely as fire crews fought the fire in sub zero temperatures.

Police say that the residents admit to burning a metal fire pit the night before near the carport that is attached to the side of the house.
