Kennewick Fire investigators did not say where the initial report came from.
CREWS CALLED TO DOUBLE DRAGON RESTAURANT OVER FIRE
From a report on Twitter, Kennewick Fire Chief Chad Michael said crews were sent to the Double Dragon Chinese Restaurant at 3107 West Clearwater around 3:20 AM Tuesday morning after a call about of a fire.
Upon arrival crews reportedly could see flames inside the building. Apparently, the fire was concentrated mainly in the kitchen area.
The initial report indicated smoke was seen rising from a vent on top of the building, according to KEPR-CBS TV.
HOW BADLY WAS INSIDE DAMAGED?
Crews were able to knock down the flames with 10-15 minutes, the extent of the damage to the restaurant is not yet known.
Chief Michael said the facility does not have a fire detection or suppression/sprinker system, but the initial report came soon enough (plus quick fire crew response) saved the building from a much worse fate.
The investigation continues.
