Kid That Started Oregon Wildfire Gets $37 Million Fine
The teenager that started last year's wildfire through the Hood River area of Oregon gets slapped with a $37 Million Dollar fine
The Hood River Judge handed down the punishment to the 15-yr old that started a rampaging wildfire in the scenic Columbia River Gorge. The teenage admitted to throwing the two fireworks that started the blaze.
It's unlikely the boy will ever be able to pay the fine but for the next 10 years, if he makes his payments, the fine can go away.
It all depends on the boy completing his probation and making his payments and no further criminal action from him in the future to get the fine expunged in the future.
