Lockdown Lifted at Two Kennewick Schools Over Manhunt

Kennewick School District just released this email as of 9:08am Tuesday morning:

'Edison Elementary and Highlands Middle School are in a modified lockdown status as Kennewick Police search for an individual that has gone missing from a facility in the area. Students are welcome to enter the school but will not be let outside until the lockdown is lifted. Please be aware that there will be a police presence outside of these schools and exterior doors will be locked until the lockdown is lifted."

A call to Kennewick Police Department did not officially confirm, but we are awaiting a call back from an officer. More information expected soon.
