Adam Levine Is a Creepy Stalker in Maroon 5’s ‘Animals’ Music Video
A stalker, a meat locker and lots and lots of blood. Is it the newest gore flick heading to your theater?
No, it's the music video for Maroon 5's latest single, 'Animals.'
The 'Animals' music video is every bit chilling and terrifying as it is sexy. We see a side of Adam Levine that we've never seen before: A creepy, obsessive butcher who can't stop thinking about a beautiful woman. He follows her everywhere during the day, and stalks her through the shadows at night. He meticulously figures out her daily schedule and at night, develops stacks of photos of her in his own personal dark room, just so he can stare at her face some more.
Luckily for us, we know that she'll probably turn out just fine considering the woman he is stalking is Levine's real-life wife, model Behati Prinsloo.
The 'Animals' music video is a departure from their usual lighthearted fare, but it ties in well with the song's lyrics about having a carnivorous lust for another human being. The video was directed by Samuel Bayer, who is no stranger to horror, having directed the 'Nightmare on Elm Street' remake in 2010.
