2012 hasn't ended yet, but if you're already feeling nostalgic for the sights and sounds of the year's biggest pop hits, YouTube user/producer Daniel Kim has got you covered.

Kim just posted his Pop Danthology 2012, a (pretty brilliant) mashup of 50 hits from the year that was, including Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe,' fun.'s 'Some Nights,' and (of course) Psy's 'Gangnam Style.' While the overall effect might be somewhat dispiriting for anyone who thinks everything on the Top 40 kind of sounds the same, it's also sort of exhilarating to experience all these hooks crammed together in one big, anthemic, eight-minute rush -- and it's impossible not to admire the skillful way Kim deftly wove the songs and videos together to create his latest mashup.

If Kim's name sounds familiar to you, you're not alone -- 'Pop Danthology 2012' has already racked up nearly a million views at the time of this writing, adding to the more than 3.5 million views his videos (including mashups, covers, and original music) have drawn in over the last five years. Visit his YouTube page here and take a look at the complete list of songs (via Oh No They Didn't!) he collected for Pop Danthology 2012 (before, of course, watching the video, embedded below).
