Do you know what drug abuse looks like?  Have you encountered anything like the photo above?  Local police warn that Fentanyl, is an opioid, also referred to by the street name "Mexis" when illegally manufactured and distributed on the street.

Mexis are more prevalent among drug abusers.  Authorities warn that fentanyl is 50-100 times more potent than morphine and when made/used illegally it is also more deadly.


According to the Kennewick Police Facebook page:

One of the most common methods of illegally ingesting Fentanyl is by heating it on aluminum foil and inhaling the smoke. If you see anything that looks like the images around a friend or loved one please do what you can to get them help before it's too late. If you come across a friend or loved one who has overdosed, call 911. We are here to help save lives and cannot file any criminal charges as a result of responding to an overdose per RCW 69.50.315.
