Motorcyclist Injured By Drunk Driver in Kennewick Crash

A late-night accident sends a motorcyclist to the hospital and one person behind bars for suspected DUI.

Officer Craig Hanson of the KPD provided the details of the accident in the press release. Here are the details of the accident according to the Kennewick Police Department

Monday night just after 10 PM, officers investigated a vehicle vs motorcycle collision at the intersection of Columbia Center Blvd and 4th Avenue. It appears the vehicle turned left in front of the motorcycle, thus failing to yield to the motorcycle. It also appeared the driver of the vehicle was intoxicated.

The driver of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for suspicion of vehicular assault (driving under the influence where substantial bodily harm is sustained) and was booked into Benton County Jail.

The Kennewick Traffic Unit responded to the collision to further investigate the scene.
