The 5 Movies you Have to Watch if you Live in Washington
If you're living in Washington, planning to move here, or just love the Pacific Northwest we have five movies you have to watch. That's right, there are five movies we're absolutely in love with that are set right here in Washington state.
You may have already seen these movies, or maybe you're just a fan of film in general and looking to broaden your horizons, either way, this list is perfect for anyone who loves movies or is just from Washington. You can check out the list below, we promise we didn't mention Twilight.
5.) Red Dawn
There's two versions of this movie, funny enough it's the remade version that takes place in Spokane Washington. After there's a fallout in nato the North Koreas make a move to attack the united states while attempting to go through Washignton. A group made of family and friends take up the fight as American Reblels looking to save their country.
4.) It Happened at the Worlds Fair
Staring the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley, this movie takes place in the heart of Seattle. Elvis plays a crop dusting pilot (No not that kind of crop dusting) but loses his plane after not being able to make payments. They end up in Seattle in 1962 during the World Fair, the same worlds fair where they debuted the Space Needle.
3.) 10 things I Hate About You
A coming of age story that takes place in the 90's, everyone went crazy about this movie especially in the early 2000's. It had a star studded cast with Heath Ledger, Julia Styles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and more. It follows a romantic storyline and shows the struggles of being in love as a teenager.
2.) First Blood (Rambo)
The start to the entire Rambo series staring Sylvester Stallone, the first time we see Rambo he's backpacking through a small Washington city, after being stopped by police they offer him a ride through town but when he refuses to leave trouble finds him as he has to fight for his life using all of his training in the service.
1.) Without a Paddle
Three friends are reunited by tragedy when their best childhood friend passes away, his last wish, that his remaining friends commit to their search for D.B Coopers treasure in the Washington forest. Starring Seth Green, Matthew Lillard, and Dax Sheppard, we follow them on their quest to make their friends wish come true and find the lost treasure, but along they way the become lost and have to try and survive the wilderness along with the evil inside of it. Tho it sounds like a drama or horror it's actually a comedy and one we absolutely love.
