Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey Vow to Keep Their Twins Out of Show Business
If ‘America’s Got Talent’ host Nick Cannon and his wife, pop diva Mariah Carey, have anything to say about it, their kids won’t be involved in showbiz.
“I just want them to strive for something greater than entertainment,” Cannon, 30, said of the couple’s four-month-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe. “I’m one of those believers in teachers, professors, heart surgeons. That’s what I’m rooting for. If I could get a scientist, that’d be amazing.”
But Cannon is glad he and Carey both have entertainment careers, saying, “My wife is so understanding because she’s just as busy and just as focused as I am, so it’s kind of like the perfect match.”
That said, he added, “Being a father and being a husband comes first.”
