Sex Offender in Custody After 5 Hour Stand-Off

A 40-year old sex offender is back in custody after a 5-hours long stand-off on Tuesday afternoon.

Pasco Police were searching for Juan R. Sanchez, wanted for outstanding warrants, in the area of Island Estates, just west of Walmart.

Sanchez led Police on a brief chase when he exited his vehicle and ran into a house in the area of Saturna Drive and Flores Lane.

Sanchez barricaded himself in the attic of the home, refusing to come out.

After 5 hours Tri-Cities Regional SWAT took Sanchez into custody.  He faces additional charges of resisting arrest and eluding.
