The following is from a newsletter issued by Washington's 4th District Congressman, Dan Newhouse:

It was an honor to present Mr. Frederick Hopkins, of Prosser, with the medals and ribbons he earned serving in the U.S. Navy as a Petty Officer Third Class. Mr. Hopkins went on three deployments to the West Pacific and one to the Mediterranean before he was honorably discharged in 1971. Working with my office, Mr. Hopkins was able to retrieve the Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal he earned while in service to our country. He will now have these medals to remember and pass along to his grandchildren.

My office has helped several veterans retrieve medals, ribbons, and commendations from their time in service. We are also able to help veterans and their families navigate the Veterans Benefit Administration, Veterans Health Administration, and more. If you are a veteran in need of assistance, please contact my office.
