Rare Cougar Attack Reported In Central Kennewick

A very unusual story popped up on my news feed this morning a woman who was walking her dog late Monday night claims her dog was snatched right in front of her eyes by a cougar! The strangest part is... 

where the incident happened, in a neighborhood in central Kennewick on the corner of N. Arthur St. and W. Tucannon Ave.

The Washington State Patrol was alerted to the incident by Benton County Sheriff's Department. The woman says she was walking her dog in the neighborhood at 11:20 pm Monday night when suddenly a cougar jumped out of a tree and snatched her dog. Police investigated but were unable to locate the cougar or the dog.
