Leave it to Pete Carroll to flip the script and inject a totally different vibe into the entire Seahawk nation with the announcement of maybe Marshawn Lynch coming out of retirement to run the rock for the decimated Seahawk backfield as Seattle battles San Francisco for tops in the West and at least one home playoff game.

Battered and bruised and embarrassed at home, Seattle woke up this Monday not down in the doldrums, but with instant optimism, at least initially, about the possible return of the legendary Marshawn Lynch to the Seattle Seahawks backfield.

Just a few days ago, Marshawn was tossing back tequila shots with the faithful in Oakland saying goodbye to the Raiders in the Black Hole before departing to Las Vegas.

Now, Beast Mode just might be back. Even if this does not pan out, just the idea of it all turns the page and closes an ugly chapter with the Arizona game. Seattle Seahawk fans must agree, it's never easy. And that's one of the main things that make these guys so darn endearing.
