After a five year run on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ Sharon Osbourne has cited irreconcilable differences with NBC, after she claims they wouldn’t hire her son Jack for another she because he has multiple sclerosis. She is said to be leaving the show at the end of this season, even though she is still under contract.

Osbourne announced this today on in the New York Post, claiming that she “could never be a fake.” She followed this by saying that she loves the people she works with at ‘America’s Got Talent,’ but she can’t continue on the show.

This follows some earlier rumors that she might be leaving the show anyway. NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt released a statement disputing her reasons. Jack Osbourne was up for the new show ‘Stars Earn Stripes,’ and Greenblatt says that the new show

requires dangerous water stunts, strenuous physical activity, and uses live ammunition – we required all potential participants to undergo medical vetting to ensure that they could safely participate. Although we did not ask Jack to participate in the competition, we were able to offer him two substantial alternative roles on the show, both of which he declined.

This statement comes from The Hollywood Reporter. What do you think? Is Sharon right? Should the show go through a judge shake-up regardless? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
