Shooting Prank Calls Lead To Shutdown Of Three Pasco Schools
A series of prank calls this afternoon lead to the shutdown of three Pasco schools.
The three Pasco schools in question were Delta High School, Reynolds Middle School, and Columbia River Elementary according to reports from the Pasco Police and our news partner KNDU.
Reports confirm that several 911 calls into dispatch said there was a shooting at Reynolds Middle School. Pasco Police immediately put all three schools on lockdown and resources were called in from the Benton County and Franklin County Sheriff Departments.
It was later discovered that children from Reynolds Middle School had used the 911 only phone to make the prank calls.
Sgt Pruneda with the Pasco Police Department told KNDU news that "Information and time is critical in these situations,"
School Resource Officers are now talking to the kids concerning the prank calls and the school lockdowns have been lifted. You can read more details on the school lockdowns here.
