Skateboarding Bellevue Cop is Flippin’ Cool

All it took was a viral video for the world to dub him the "Cool Cop." Craig Hanaumi has been connecting with Bellevue youth in their element: skateboarding.

He's been making weekly trips to skateboard at a indoor Bellevue skate park to get to know the local kids in his community.

Apparently, it's been paying off. Hanaumi befriended a teen with gang-related issues, and the teen was able to tip the cops off on a drive-by shooting case.
