Early Thursday afternoon, the weight of snow on the awning-roof at a Pasco gas station came crashing down, but luckily nobody was hurt!

The Circle K at 26th and Court in Pasco was busy, but at the exact time the awnings over the gas pumps came down, no one was getting fuel. No persons or vehicles were underneath.

Fire officials say the weight of the snow, and some of it melting and becoming heavier, were too much for the structure to bear.  Reports indicate the snow crushed the entire roof to the ground. For more details, including a picture of the collapsed structure, click on the button below
