Stupid Criminal of the Day: Richland Man Flees on BMX Bike

Some police units use bicycles because they can go where cars cannot and can be faster than other options. So I guess it makes sense for a criminal to try the same thing... but not with a kid bike.

A 45-year-old West Richland man with a long criminal history was spotted by police riding a BMX bike near Lee Blvd.

They gave chase and the man dodged and weaved through traffic and tried to escape.

The chase lasted about 10 minutes.

Lesson learned: don't run from police on a BMX bike.
