Disney has released two new clips from Jon Favreau’s The Jungle Book — one that will make you laugh as you reach for a snack, and another that will make you feel…some things. Let’s just get the emotional part of this out of the way up front so we can end on a more positive note, okay? Unless you feel particularly emotional about food, and in that case, feel free to reverse your viewing order.

The first of the two new clips features a very sad farewell between Mowgli (Neel Sethi) and the wolf pack that raised him, led by mama wolf Raksha (Lupita Nyong’o) and alpha wolf Akela (Giancarlo Esposito). As set up by the previously released clip featuring Idris Elba’s villainous tiger Shere Khan, Ben Kingsley’s wise old panther Bagheera arrives to take Mowgli back to the world of humans in order to protect the wild youngster from the jungle’s more ferocious elements.

That’s very stirring stuff, made all the more so by some great voice performances, but even if you took those away and watched the video with the sound replaced by — oh, I dunno — one of those Sarah McLachlan songs from the SPCA ads, you’d probably still cry because the visual narrative is just as heartbreaking.

Moving on to happier things! The next clip features Mowgli helping Baloo (Bill Murray) prepare for winter hibernation, but as an exasperated Bagheera points out, bears don’t hibernate in the jungle. Still, what kind of monster would protest hoarding snacks and taking extended naps?

The Jungle Book also features the voices of Scarlett Johansson as Kaa and Christopher Walken as King Louie, and hits theaters on April 15.
