Kennewick police and first responders had to deal with yet another crash near the Steptoe and Gage intersection Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, a Chevy pickup was trying to cross all four lanes of Gage and did not see the SUV that had turned West onto Gage. The truck slammed the Toyota Highlander, flipping it on it's roof. The female driver was taken to Kadlec with minor injuries, an 11-year-old boy in the SUV was not harmed and was checked at the scene.

The crash occurred near the DQ Grill and Chill.

The man driving the truck was not hurt, but was cited for failure to yield. This intersection is considered one of the more challenging and even dangerous areas in the Tri-Cities. My wife works at a business very close by, and sees numerous accidents every month, even week.
