Early Thursday morning, Franklin County Sheriff's Deputies and fire crews responded to a report of a crash apparently between two semi trucks on Highway 17 north of Pasco, towards Othello.

Deputies say the flatbed semi was hauling crushed cars headed for the scrapyard when it was involved in the mishap, and the cars spilled onto the road. There were only minor injuries reported, but as of 10AM, the area near milepost 9 was still closed and blocked while the cars are picked up.

No specific details, but it appears the truck hauling hay collided with the crushed car hauler. The investigation continues, no details about how it occurred.
