Vehicle Flips on South Ely Street Luckily Leaving Kids Unharmed

Icy roads caused an SUV to flip over near S. Ely Street in Kennewick this morning. Kennewick Police posted the accident on their Facebook page showing the dangers of driving on snow covered streets after yesterday's snowfall.

The SUV was traveling along W 10th Ave and S Ely Street when it hit a patch of ice and rolled. The good news is all passengers, including children, where secured and the accident recorded no serious injuries.

The accident happened about 10 AM and Kennewick Police are reminding drivers that although the sun is shining, the roads are still covered with ice and very dangerous.

KPD says to reduce your speed, leave plenty of room for following and make sure every occupant of the vehicle is seat-belted in.
