WA Bicyclists Can Basically Ignore Stops Signs Legally Now
I've never actually seen a bicyclist stop at a stop sign, but now they don't have to anyway. A new law goes into effect in Washington starting today that allows bicyclists to blow right past them. Okay, maybe that's not exactly right, but close. They're supposed to yield. I've never really seen that happen either. It sounds like I hate bicyclists. I don't. I just am amazed by the number of them that choose busy roads over calm neighborhoods. And what's up with all the bicyclists that choose the roadway shoulder on Keene Rd. in Richland and West Richland over that beautiful, oversized walking and bike trail?
