If you've ever wanted to walk through the McNary Dam Railroad Tunnel, but just haven't gotten around to it, we can go right now! Local enthusiast Michael Morgan posted a cool video of the walk through the tunnel on his YouTube video channel My Time Tunnel. He also collects a few very cool agates.

Before we get started, here's a little history on the McNary Dam that we've all driven by at least 1000 times.

It is named after Charles McNary, an Oregon politician who helped pass legislation to construct the Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River closer to Portland. When the McNary dam was built, they were going to name it the Umatilla Dam but decided to name it after Charles McNairy who had passed away the year before.
