Who Is David Sibley On Jeopardy?

David Sibley is an Episcopal Priest from Walla Walla and is currently a two-time winner and holds the championship as of September 29th, 2022.

If you've been watching the show, Sibley on his first show on Monday, September 27th walked away with $21,800, besting the former champion Micheal Menkhus.

Sibley played on Tuesday and walked away with an additional $22,400 bringing his two-day total up to $44,200.

David Sibley is an Episcopal Priest from Walla Walla, Washington. He is a contestant on the TV game show “Jeopardy!” I have come.

He loves trivia games. When he was in high school and college, he participated in quiz bowl competitions.

He did B.S. and M.S. In Chemistry” studied at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. M.Div. from The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City.  He later married Emily, who is a native of Western Washington and has a young daughter.

When David has free time, he enjoys it with his family and travels, hiking, skiing, cooking, etc.

David applied for Jeopardy and was invited to audition in Atlanta, Georgia. He had attempted Jeopardy earlier as well, which was not successful.

 After 14 years, in Summer 2021, he tried once again. He completed the online test which had 50 rapid-fire questions.

After this, he had to audition on Zoom for some more tests. After this David was selected for this television show episode.

His wife Emily, a comparative literature professor, was delighted to hear about David’s Jeopardy selection.
