Walla Walla Surgeons Return from Marshall Islands Medical Mission
Here are some real international heroes!
A surgical team has returned home to Walla Walla after a successful medical mission on the Marshall Islands.
Led by Dr. Richard Henderson, the Walla Walla team performed 33 surgeries. One of the major surgeries was on a two week-old baby who had a severe fracture in a bone in his elbow. If not for the surgery, he would have had a severe handicap. The volunteers assisted a hospital who have no orthopedic surgeon. They'll embark on another medical mission next year.
