Where does one go in Washington for a fabulous Winterfest?

I grew up in Minnesota, where the annual Saint Paul Winter Carnival was a HUGE deal. There was a big parade, ice sculptures, and the hiding of the Winter Carnival Medallion. When the medallion was found, it was big news! Of course, it was ALWAYS FREEZING COLD. It's Minnesota.

Fast forward to today. Living in Tri-Cities for the last 7 years I have yet to be to any kind of winter carnival.

I did some Googling and found what could be the BEST Winterfest in the state! And, it's not too far of a drive from Tri-Cities.

Mark the dates, January 14th through the 23rd, 2022

I'm told Lake Chelan's Winterfest is quite THE time. Most events take place outside, so, you're advised to wear layers and dress for the cold.

There will be fabulous ice sculptures!

And, of course, winter is really about putting smiles on the kids. Check out the sledding action! You don't need a sled.
