Slim and none are the chances of holding any type of meaningful social event for the rest of 2020 and slim just left town.

Even with the planning of the Central Washington State Fair not happening until late September and running into early October, the proverbial plug was pulled on the event for good this year.

To their credit, the CWSF held out hope and they've even came up with a contingency plan, but the scope of COVID-19, and the fact that Yakima County is the worst county of 39 in Washington state fighting COVID-19, it's just impossible to pull off.

In the 128 years of the Central Washington State Fair, it has been cancelled only 7 times. Another staggering economic blow will be felt as State Fair Park counts on about $4 million in revenue from the yearly fair run.
