Back in the early 2000's juvenile sturgeon were released into the upper Columbia River and are now large enough to catch and keep.

Here are the rules....

1st you must possess a Washington State fishing license, you are allowed to catch 2 hatchery Sturgeon per day 38 to 72 inches long to the fork in their tail and they may only be harvested from 2 specific areas on the river: in the Wanapum and Priest Rapids reservoirs.
